Garden egg Sauce

Hello peeps!
The origin of this sauce ehn.....Some people claim its from the Owo people of Ondo state, others say its from Edo state, anyways, I'm an Ijebu breed and i loooove this sauce. Its best served with yam but i also enjoy it with rice....

Ingredients

White Garden eggs
Red Chilli Peppers
Onion
Mackerel Fish (my peeps call it 'titus' lol)
Palm oil
Seasoning
Salt

How to cook
Wash the garden eggs and place in a pot, add water enough to cover
Boil for about fifteen mins or till you see the skin trying to peel off
Soak in cold water and peel off skins

After peeling, blend or pound in a mortar
Meanwhile, wash your Red Chilli Peppers

And rough blend...
Wash and season the mackerel ( i use only salt) then cook till soft and pieces into small chunks

That done, set a pot on the burner, add your Palm oil and fry
Add your roughly blended pepper and onions, and fry till dry
Then add your blended garden eggs and stir
Let this simmer for about five mins then add fish chunks
Let that cook for two mins, add your preferred seasoning and stir.
Simmer for two more mins and its ready!!!!!!

Serve with Yam
....Or Rice.....my folks think this is awkward..but i love it

Don't forget to order your soups, stews and sauces...08033935253
